$260k-$285k
Role Summary
Physician will serve adults and children across Kern County. In this collaborative, consultative role, you’ll play a vital part in reviewing client medical records, providing clinical oversight, and guiding case management teams on medical care decisions. This position offers a balanced schedule, professional autonomy, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of those served through regional center programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical consultation and oversight for individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities receiving regional center services.
- Review and interpret medical records, assessments, and documentation to support eligibility determinations and care planning.
- Offer guidance and clinical input to case management teams regarding treatment, referrals, and client care coordination.
- Conduct medical evaluations and give consent for treatment when required.
- Participate in case conferences, interdisciplinary meetings, and collaborative discussions regarding client health needs.
- Be available for after-hours phone consultation on an as-needed basis.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and regional center protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited institution.
- Current and active California medical license in good standing.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities, or equivalent clinical experience.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
