Job Description
The (Login for Information) Cardiac Center (NCC) provides comprehensive care for infants, children, and adolescents with cardiac, thoracic, and vascular disease. The Cardiac Center provides patient care, performs research, and educates health care professionals in a variety of settings.
Our patient population ranges from newborns to adults with congenital or acquired heart disease. Surgeries are performed on a variety of complex congenital heart abnormalities, including neonatal surgery, adult congenital surgery, mechanical circulatory support, and heart transplantation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized care to cardiac patients in the CICU and cardiac stepdown unit.
- Work alongside advanced practice providers (APPs) and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other health care providers.
- Participate in daytime, nighttime, weekend, and holiday shifts, with potential moonlighting opportunities available on an "as needed" basis. The expectation is that approximately 33% shifts will be off shifts (nights and weekends).
- Educate and mentor residents, fellows, and other trainees.
- Contribute to academic initiatives in research, education, quality improvement, or operations.

Qualifications:
- MD, DO or equivalent clinical doctoral degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an ACGME Accredited Pediatric Residency Program
- Board Eligibility/Certification in Pediatric Medicine
- Eligibility to obtain valid DEA and Medical licensure in the state of Delaware
- An academic record commensurate with appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate or full Professor
