General Practice job located in Jacksonville, Florida
Job Description
Candidates will be expected to provide compassionate, evidence-based care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, participate in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to education, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
- Diagnose and manage pediatric patients with a wide range of kidney-related conditions including: acute and chronic kidney disease, hypertension, nephrotic and nephritic syndromes, congenital and inherited renal disorders, electrolyte and acid-base abnormalities and urinary tract anomalies
- Manage and oversee dialysis
- Provide consultative services to other hospital departments and participate in multidisciplinary rounds
- Participate in shared call coverage, including inpatient consults and after-hours responsibilities
- Educate patients and families about disease management, medications, nutrition, and treatment plans

Qualifications:
- MD or DO
- Board eligible/certified in specialty
- Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical license and DEA
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
