This cancer center is a newly constructed facility located adjacent to the hospital, providing specialized hematology and oncology services with coordinated access to inpatient care. The center maintains established protocols for comprehensive cancer and blood disorder treatment delivery with dedicated support staff. The facility operates as a solo hematologist/oncologist practice supported by an advanced practice provider and registered nurses.

Rome, Georgia offers a range of cultural and recreational attractions, including Berry College and the Rome Area History Center. The historic downtown area provides dining and entertainment options, while performing arts venues such as the Rome Symphony Orchestra and Rome Little Theater serve the local community. The hematologist/oncologist will provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, managing 8-10 patients per day in the clinic setting with light inpatient consults in the morning. Clinical responsibilities include treating a mixed population of hematology and oncology patients in a solo hematologist/oncologist practice supported by 1 APP and registered nurses, with no call coverage required. Board certification in Medical Oncology and an active Georgia license or IMLC are mandatory requirements for this position. Temporary privileges are available, and the clinician must maintain documentation through the facility's electronic medical record system for all patient encounters.
