This hospital in Southern Kentucky serves as a Level IV trauma center providing comprehensive hematology and oncology services for adult patients with cancer and blood disorders. The facility maintains modern equipment and dedicated support staff including midlevel clinicians to assist with hospital rounding and patient care coordination. The hospital operates with established protocols for both inpatient and outpatient cancer treatment delivery in a collaborative care environment designed to support optimal patient outcomes.

The hematologist/oncologist will provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, managing 15-22 patients per day including follow-ups and new consultations. Clinical responsibilities include conducting thorough patient evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans for hematologic and oncologic conditions, and hospital rounding with midlevel assistance when admissions are necessary. The position requires board certification in Hematology/Oncology (preferred) or Board Eligible status, with ACLS and BLS certifications mandatory, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with call coverage during the day and at night. Documentation must be maintained through EPIC EMR system for all patient encounters and treatment planning activities.
