About the Clinician's WorkdayThe hematologist/oncologist will provide comprehensive outpatient hematology and oncology care with inpatient consultations managing 18-22 patients daily Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Clinical responsibilities include conducting clinic visits and inpatient consultations with a 60% hematology to 40% oncology patient focus, developing individualized treatment plans for hematologic and oncologic conditions, and providing 1:4 call coverage. Clinicians must maintain documentation through Epic EMR system for all patient encounters and treatment planning activities. Board certification in Medical Oncology is required with active New Mexico licensure preferred.
