This large hospital operates as part of a large health system providing specialized outpatient hematology and oncology services. The facility maintains modern equipment and comprehensive support services with an established multidisciplinary team including nursing staff, medical assistants, navigators, advanced practitioners, and administrative personnel. The hospital offers temporary privileges for qualified clinicians to ensure continuity of patient care delivery.

The hematologist/oncologist will provide comprehensive outpatient hematology and oncology care managing 15-18 patients daily Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with occasional half-day inpatient work on Fridays. Clinical responsibilities include conducting 1-2 new consultations at most, developing individualized treatment plans for hematologic and oncologic conditions, and coordinating care with comprehensive support staff. Documentation must be maintained through EPIC EMR system for all patient encounters and treatment planning activities. Board certification in Hematology/Oncology and prescriptive authority are mandatory requirements for this assignment.
