A cancer center is seeking a hematologist/oncologist for locum tenens coverage.
Eastern Tennessee is a treasure trove of fun activities. You can immerse yourself in the vibrant music scene of Knoxville or Nashville, home to iconic venues like the Grand Ole Opry. Nature enthusiasts can explore the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, offering hiking, wildlife viewing, and scenic drives.
A provider is needed for inpatient weekend rounding and call coverage, focusing 100% on malignant hematology. The ideal start date is April 1st, with coverage needed for 2-3 weekends per month over a 3-6 month period. The schedule runs from Friday around 3 PM to Monday at 8 AM, including both in-person rounding and phone call coverage. Weekend rounding volume is approximately 4-5 patients per day, with no new consults. The provider will have support from two other physicians and two APPs. The EMR system used is Cerner.

Dates Needed:  Ideally the first of April (2-3 weekends/month) for 3-6 months
