Hospice Medical Director | Interim – 3 Months | Locums Job in Colorado

Location: Greater Denver Area, Colorado
Duration: 3-Month Assignment
Unit Size: 30-bed hospice facility

Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Hospice Medical Director to provide interim leadership and oversight for a small, well-established hospice unit located just outside Denver. This is a short-term assignment covering a 3-month gap before the incoming permanent director begins. The role is primarily administrative, with minimal direct patient care, as the nursing team handles day-to-day clinical responsibilities.

Details
--Provide medical leadership and oversight for hospice operations
--Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
--Review and support care plans focused on comfort, wellness, and pain management
--Serve as a clinical resource and advisor to staff

Qualifications:
--MD with active Colorado medical license (or ability to obtain)
--Board certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine preferred
--Proven experience in hospice or palliative care settings
--Strong administrative and leadership capabilities
