Alternate Hospice Medical Director

Primrose Hospice is seeking a compassionate Alternate Hospice Medical Director to support our interdisciplinary hospice team and serve as a backup to the Hospice Medical Director when needed.

This role offers physicians the opportunity to support meaningful end-of-life care while maintaining a flexible schedule and limited time commitment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide medical consultation to hospice clinical staff
• Review and certify hospice eligibility for patients
• Participate in interdisciplinary team collaboration when needed
• Provide guidance on symptom management and end-of-life care
• Serve in the Medical Director role during periods of absence

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Active, unrestricted Oregon physician license
• Hospice, palliative care, geriatrics, oncology, or internal medicine experience preferred

• 1099 Contracted role
• Guaranteed monthly stipend plus hourly pay for face-to-face visits
