The selected candidate will contribute to the (Login for Information) mission to improve the lives of older adults, individuals with serious illness, and the people who care for them. The Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine, Joan and Stanford Alexander Division of Geriatric and Palliative Medicine, will serve in a primarily clinical role focused on the delivery of high-quality palliative care. The position is based at Memorial Hermann–Texas Medical Center and includes direct patient care, supervision of learners, and participation in divisional activities that support the clinical mission.
Position Key Accountabilities:

Providing direct patient care in palliative medicine at Memorial Hermann–Texas Medical Center. Patient population age range is 16 and over for trauma and 18 and over for medicine.

Serving as the primary provider for outpatient care.

Supervising and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows in inpatient and outpatient clinical settings as part of routine clinical care.

Participating in interdisciplinary care teams to support patient- and family-centered decision-making.

Contributing to divisional and departmental service activities related to clinical operations
Qualifications:

M.D. or D.O.
-
Texas Medical License.

Board certification or board eligible in Hospice & Palliative Medicine
