Job Title: Academic Hospitalist – Internal Medicine Residency Program

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Academic Hospitalist to join our faculty team and contribute to the education of internal medicine residents. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality inpatient care, serve as an educator and mentor to residents, and participate in scholarly activities to advance the mission of our academic institution.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive inpatient care to adult patients in a hospital setting, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes.

- Supervise, teach, and mentor internal medicine residents during their inpatient rotations.

- Develop and deliver educational sessions, case conferences, and workshops for residents and medical students.

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and improve clinical processes.

- Participate in academic activities including research, quality improvement projects, and scholarly publications.

- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and standards.

- Engage in faculty meetings, curriculum development, and institutional committees as appropriate.

- Maintain clinical competency and stay updated with current medical knowledge and best practices.

Qualifications:

- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.

- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine.

- Prior experience in an academic hospitalist or teaching role preferred.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
