This 25-bed critical access hospital serves the rural population of eastern Kentucky with comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. The facility maintains Level IV Trauma designation and provides essential medical services including laboratory, radiology, and swing-bed capabilities for post-acute care patients. The hospital operates within the Mercy Health system and utilizes Epic EMR for integrated documentation and care coordination.

Kentucky offers diverse attractions including extensive cave systems such as Louisville Mega Cavern and Mammoth Cave National Park, along with natural areas like Red River Gorge. The region features bourbon distillery tours visiting locations such as Buffalo Trace, Woodford Reserve, Four Roses, and Wild Turkey. Additional attractions include Churchill Downs racetrack, the Kentucky Derby Museum, and various walking tours that showcase the area's heritage and landscapes.

The hospitalist will provide comprehensive 24-hour inpatient medical care at this 25-bed critical access hospital, managing adult and geriatric patients including swing-bed cases requiring post-acute care. The clinician will function as the sole physician on service, coordinating with a Physician Assistant and nursing staff to deliver continuous patient care. Epic EMR system must be utilized for all clinical documentation and care coordination across the Mercy Health system.
