Hospitalist Physician Locums Job in Nebraska | 7am-7pm | 7 on/7 off or 14 Straight | Beginning July 1 | Assignment # 109001

Coverage:
--Start date: 7/1/2025
--End date: 12/31/2025
--Shift Description: 7am-7pm, 7 on/7 off or 14 straight

Details/Requirements:
--Board Certified or truly Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency)
--Nebraska License Required or IMLC (LOQ in hand)
--Internal Medicine residency preferred; Family Medicine ok with experience working as a Hospitalist
--Other Certifications – ACLS, DEA, BLS
--Malpractice – Clean Preferred
--Must be comfortable in an ICU
--Daily management of hospitalized patients adhering to the local practice culture. Participate in daily huddle, answer CDI queries and round with nurses. Expected to attend code blues if in house and also expected to attend rapid responses.
--EMR: EPIC
--Support Staff: Remote admin support (is on site typically once per week during the  day). APP during the day/night.
--Reason for coverage: Resignations; open positions not filled yet
--We have intensivists, the ICU is open. We co-manage patients. Not expected to run a vent or do procedures. Do not have to intubate or do central lines
--Three MD’s rounding during the day. One APP from 9a-5p, Monday-Friday, helping the on-call provider.
--No dedicated admitting provider, on-call provider sees 2-3 patients more than other providers on their call day. Will receive help from the other rounders.
--Codes required - expected to attend if in house.
--Have inhouse intensivist -  The ICU is open. Co-manage patients. Not expected to run a vent or do procedure.
