Family Medicine Faculty, and Hospitalist opportunities in North Carolina
For the inpatient/hospitalist position:
We are currently recruiting:
· FT nocturnist to work approximately 14 shifts a month
· Rotating shift hospitalist, with some day and night coverage, approximately 15-17 shifts per month
Responsibilities include:
· Round on Adult and Pediatric patients (great mix for individual who wants the excitement of a hospitalists position but still seeing patients from all ages)
· Attend caesarian sections and round in the newborn nursery (NRP certification is required)
· Admit patients from the ER, as well as directly from primary care offices
· Run codes/round in the ICU
· Care for skilled care and swing bed patients
· Work independently, with specialty doctors available by phone for on-call requirements
· Procedures optional
· Comfortable with ventilator
· MediTech EMR
For the Faculty position:
The hospital is seeking a qualified Family Medicine Physician for hospital-owned practice and GME program. Qualified candidates must have IP and OP experience, and be comfortable with joint injections, derm procedures and OMT.
Provider should expect a 50/50 preceptor/clinical work load. Hospital rotation will be one week every4 to 6 weeks.
Obligations include:
· Allscripts EMR- clinic
· Meditech EMR- hospital
· 18-25 expected patient daily volume (while in office)
· Treat a wide range of medical issues from infancy through adulthood
· Help build patient volume
· Coordinate care with other medical professionals
