A health system is seeking a hospitalist for locum tenens coverage.

The facility is located in eastern North Carolina.

This is an inpatient-only opportunity within a well-established healthcare system, working alongside a team of 11 physicians. The role includes ICU/critical care responsibilities with support from a critical care physician in the mornings and Tele ICU coverage in the afternoons and weekends. Physicians see an average of 15 patients per day, with 23 admissions during the day and 46 at night, and are involved in managing vent patients and consulting on neurology cases with Tele Neurology support. Call is split between daytime admissions and a dedicated night physician, and ACLS certification (AHA) is required. Procedures are optional, and multiple specialties are available on-site for support.
