Key Responsibilities
- Clinical leadership: provide clinical oversight and mentorship to hospitalists and other medical professionals within the department
- Quality improvement: develop and implement quality initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes, satisfaction, and operational efficiency
- Strategic planning: collaborate with hospital leadership in long-term planning, workforce development, and resource management
- Team development: facilitate ongoing professional development, training, and performance evaluations of hospitalist staff
- Collaboration: foster positive relationships with nursing, case management, and specialty service lines to promote interdisciplinary care
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certified in internal medicine (IM) or family medicine (FM)
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in hospital medicine
- Previous leadership or administrative experience in hospital medicine is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
