The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) is seeking Internal Medicine board-certified/eligible candidates for full-time faculty positions in our Hospitalist Division.  The McGovern Medical School is the sixth-largest Medical School in the U.S. and first in the number of health care graduates in Texas.  Our Hospitalist service has a traditional block schedule with 7 days of clinical duties followed by 7 days of non-clinical time.  Our primary site is located at Memorial Hermann Hospital (MHH) in the Texas Medical Center (TMC). 

MHH-TMC provides leading-edge care in cardiac, trauma, neuroscience, orthopedics, women’s health, general surgery, organ transplantation, and much more.  As one of only two certified Level I trauma centers in the greater Houston area, the hospital provides 24/7 emergency and trauma care to over 75,000 patients annually.  MHH-TMC has achieved one of the highest levels of recognition a hospital can receive – Magnet recognition for excellence in nursing services by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program.
