This short-term acute care facility is seeking a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner for locum tenens clinic coverage. The facility supports on-site clinical operations and maintains established protocols to ensure quality care delivery for the geriatric patient population. Clinicians will work in a structured clinic setting designed to accommodate the comprehensive needs of geriatric patients.

Arizona offers a range of cultural events, outdoor adventures, and family-friendly attractions throughout the year. Visitors and clinicians on assignment may attend concerts, art exhibitions, rodeos, and boat tours, with additional options including hiking, biking, and car shows. The area maintains a consistent calendar of activities, providing engagement opportunities across varied interests.

The clinician will provide day shift geriatric primary care services at an on-site clinic facility in Arizona. Responsibilities include managing chronic conditions such as dementia, arthritis, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease, as well as conducting comprehensive physical exams and cognitive screenings as part of preventative care. The clinician will oversee medication management, including safe prescribing and adjustment of medications to minimize polypharmacy complications. Care coordination duties encompass managing patient transitions between hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and home care settings. No call coverage is required for this assignment, and board certification and prescriptive authority are required.
