A FQHC is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located off coast, near Marthas Vineyard.
This long-term locum tenens opportunity is available ASAP for a commitment of 6 months to 1 year, with a strong preference for providers seeking extended assignments. The schedule offers flexibility with either four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday (8 AM6 PM), with no call or weekend responsibilities. The provider will see 1622 patients per day, with a patient mix that includes all ages, though those comfortable with adult-only (18+) care will be considered. Candidates must have a MA license, DEA, and BLS certification. Board certification is preferred, but truly board-eligible providers may be considered. COVID vaccination is not required. The credentialing process is quick (34 weeks), and the client is open to an earlier start with back billing due to a primarily Medicare patient base. Experience with HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B/C, LGBTQ+ populations, and womens health is a plus, and the client prefers candidates with a background in serving underserved communities. An AAHIV designation is also a bonus.
