The Division of General Internal Medicine is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Assistant Professor to join the (Login for Information) and (Login for Information)(Login for Information) Consult service and the Memorial Hermann Hospital Inpatient Service.
In this role, the Assistant Professor will provide onsite attending consultant coverage at (Login for Information)Harris County Psychiatric Center and Dunn Behavioral Science Center, rounding on inpatient units, conducting new consults, and offering follow-up on previously staffed consultations as needed. Additionally, the Assistant Professor will provide inpatient services at Memorial Hermann Hospital, ensuring the continuity of high clinical quality and efficiency within our Division. This faculty position is responsible for delivering high-quality medical services to patients.
Position Key Accountabilities:
- Developing and sustaining an environment in the patient care units that supports excellence and innovation in clinical practice and patient care through assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating programs and standards that support positive patient care outcomes to include excellent risk-adjusted outcomes.
- Identifying patient and family needs of the populations served; recommending and/or developing new programs and services to meet those needs.
- Assuring that age-specific equipment, supplies, and educational resources are available for assigned units/services.

Qualifications:
The selected candidate for the position must have a Texas Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Faculty License. Required or preferred board certification/eligibility statement.
