Job Title: Outpatient Neurologist
Location: Alabama
Position Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
The Outpatient Neurologist will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and managing adult patients with a wide range of neurological conditions in an outpatient setting. The provider will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care and promote patient education and wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments and examinations.
- Diagnose and treat neurological disorders including epilepsy, migraines, neuropathies, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and other neurodegenerative conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and follow-up care strategies.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as EEGs, EMGs, neuroimaging, and laboratory results.
- Educate patients and their families about neurological conditions and treatment options.
- Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters.
- Stay current with advances in neurology through ongoing education and research.
Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO)
- Board Certification or Eligibility in Neurology
- Valid medical license in the state of Alabama
- Proven experience in outpatient neurology preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
