Yuma is known for being the sunniest place on earth and recognized by the Guinness Book for World Records. This beautiful desert community is in the Sonoran Desert, near the Mexico and California borders. Yuma county has an estimated population of 200,000 people with half living in the city of Yuma. It is the fastest growing area behind Phoenix and Tucson metro areas. Being a young, bilingual population with a median age of 31 years old, Yuma County has attracted many companies to the region and with that, many workers, and families. During the winter months Yuma is a haven to snowbirds and the city’s population grows by 30%.

Living in Yuma has its perks. Housing is affordable and your dollar goes a lot further. The median house price in Yuma is $289,000, while in Phoenix it is $436,000 and in San Diego it is $910,000. With all the money you save on housing, you will be able to buy an off-road vehicle and hit the sand dunes (the very ones used in the movie Return of The Jedi), attend every local festival, go to Coachella, or take day or weekend trips to San Diego, Phoenix, and Palm Springs.

Yuma is a great place to call home.

Phoenix – 2.5 hrs.

San Diego – 2.5 hrs.

Tucson – 3 hrs.

Big Bear – 4 hrs.

Los Angeles – 4.5 hrs.

Las Vegas – 5 hrs.
