Santa Clara Valley Healthcare (SCVH), a large public teaching healthcare system, affiliated with Stanford University School of Medicine, is seeking one full-time BC/BE Neurologist physician with vascular neurology fellowship training, to join our dynamic practice in our Department of Neurology at O'Connor Hospital (OCH) and one full-time BC/BE Neurologist physician, preferably with epilepsy fellowship training, to join us at (Login for Information) (SCVMC).

SCVMC hosts four residency programs and one fellowship training program, and partners with Stanford University SOM and Stanford Healthcare for the clinical training of medical students, residents, and fellows. SCVMC is an ACS-verified Level 1 Trauma Center, a Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center, an ABA-verified Burn Center, a Primary Stroke Center, a Level 4 NICU, and a nationally recognized CARF-accredited Rehabilitation Center. Owing to its geographic location and specialty offerings, SCVMC not only serves the County, but also the larger region.
About the Department of Neurology
Our Department of Neurology provides inpatient consultative services and outpatient care to a diverse patient population seeking healthcare at (Login for Information) and O’Connor Hospital which are less than 2 miles from each other. Physicians joining our department will discover a collaborative work atmosphere and substantial support from various specialties within our extensive integrated healthcare system.
About the Positions
O'Connor Hospital
The ideal candidate will have vascular neurology fellowship training. The main focus will be inpatient care, with a part-time outpatient clinic for discharge follow-up. The ability to read and interpret EEG and EMG studies is preferred but not required. Experience in the diagnosis and management of acute stroke is required. This full-time position will primarily be based at O’Connor Hospital (a primary stroke center) and will collaborate closely with other department members and key stakeholders to ensure consistent, high-quality care across our health system as we implement a thrombectomy capable and ultimately comprehensive stroke center at (Login for Information).
The preferred candidate will have epilepsy fellowship training or similar EEG interpretation skill, will be able to work well with other departments and provide direct supervision of residents in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. This position also requires clinical experience in managing acute stroke patients and inpatient general neurology.
