A hospital is seeking a neurologist for locum tenens coverage.

This outpatient position involves working in a clinic with 2 exam rooms using EPIC for documentation. The role requires a Board Certified MD or DO with certifications including BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and a DEA certificate. The provider will care for adult patients, managing common neurological conditions such as headaches, seizures, stroke, peripheral neuropathy, and movement disorders. Experience with diagnostic tests like EEG, EMG, NCV, MRI, and lumbar punctures is helpful, though no procedures are required. The schedule offers full-time or part-time shifts from 8 AM to 4:30 PM on specific dates between July and December, with an average patient load of 13 to 20 per day. The locum will work alongside one other physician and an APRN, supported by medical assistants. Telemedicine is not an option for this role. The position requires either a Kentucky or compact medical license, with credentialing expected to take about 120 days.
