Full-time Neurology Clinic Locums Job in New Mexico | Seeking Coverage Starting in July + Ongoing

Jackson and Coker is partnered with a large health system that has a clinic located in Northern New Mexico seeking a Neurologist to assist in their clinic starting July 2025 & ongoing. Look forward to a consistent work schedule within an organized clinic that has a strong level of support staff to compliment. 

Coverage need: 
* Seeking clinic coverage during the weekdays (Monday - Friday) from 8A - 5P starting July & ongoing until a permanent provider is hired
* Clinic is closed over holidays and weekends 
* Extremely rare evening calls (typically NONE unless it's a critical lab after hours) 

Details for Outpatient Neurology opportunity #109204: 
* Strong preference for candidates that already have an active New Mexico licenses (will consider non-licensed if necessary)
* Must be Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Neurology 
* Schedule: Monday-Friday from 8A - 5PM, no nights, weekends or holidays 
* No urgent calls sent to the clinician unless it is a critical lab after hours. Patients who call with emergencies are told to call 911 and go to the emergency room.
* Will have mid-level support in the clinic + a medical assistant & nurse assigned to them for triage & higher level needs shared among the providers 
* Patient volume: Physician can expect to see 12-16 PPD (100% adult - ages 18+) 
- New patient visits: 40 min window
- Follow up visits: 20 min window 
* All patients seen will be referrals from their PC, from the ED/UC, or another specialty provider 
* Locums will be expected to assess each patient/provide a neurological exam & provide medication treatment plan (and explain accordingly) 
* Locums will have support teams for prior authorizations for medication and imaging prior authorizations
* Cases to anticipate: consults and treatment for Parkinson’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease, Epilepsy, Tremors, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Tic and Tourette Syndrome, Migraine, Headache, Stroke, and Dementia
* Treatment offered by clinic: we offer Botulinum Toxin Injections for the treatment of Dystonia, Spasticity and Chronic Migraine. We also perform The Diagnostic Studies of Nerve Conduction Studies and EMG
* Full-time expectation is 40 hours of work/week: 34 hours as patient facing, 6 hours of administrative work
