Neurohospitalist Locums Job in Oklahoma | Specific Dates and Ongoing | Assignment #113571

Coverage Details
-- Two full-time providers needed
-- Inpatient consults + call coverage

Shift Description
-- Schedule: Tuesday 7 a.m. to Tuesday 7 a.m.
-- Must commit to full Tuesday–Tuesday blocks (no partial weeks)
-- Two neurologists on each 24-hour shift
-- One handles new patient calls daily; one manages existing patients
-- Must arrive Monday of first week for orientation, Epic training, and badge pick-up

Requirements
-- Board Certified in Neurology (ABPN or AOBNP)
-- Oklahoma license, DEA, OBNDD with Oklahoma address (IMLC considered)

Required Procedures/Skills
-- EEG monitoring, including continuous EEG reads
-- Lumbar puncture, including intrathecal medication administration
-- Running patient stroke codes
-- Distal nerve block and trigger point injection
-- Interpretation of neurophysiology tests including EEG and evoked potentials (auditory, visual, somatosensory)

Assignment Details
-- Consult service includes inpatient consults, EEG reads, Comprehensive Stroke Center, ED & Level II Trauma Center
-- Neuro-ICU covered separately
-- Consult volume: 30–40 patients per day across two neurologists
-- Dragon dictation available
-- Equipment: Natus Xltek EEG system; new bedside rapid EEG
-- Support: IR & Diagnostic Radiology; no APPs; strong nursing support
-- EMR: Epic
