Certified Nurse-Midwife Locums Job in Colorado | Ongoing Full-Time Coverage | Immediate Start | Assignment # 110913

Coverage Needed:
--Immediate start with ongoing coverage
--Full-time

Shift Description:
--Hospital: Monday-Friday with varied shift times
--Office/Clinic: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm 

Requirements:
--Board certified
--Must be licensed in Colorado or IMLC
--Must be available to work full-time coverage with a minimum of three weeks per month
--Response time: 20 minutes
--Obstetrics procedures: 
o Low risk pregnancy - Patients with pre-existing problems, history of twins, history of toxemia, pyelonephritis, hyperemesis, etc.
o High risk pregnancy – Patients with toxemia, diabetes, Class II or higher cardiacs, chronic lung problems, chronic renal disease, etc.
o FHR interpretation – NST/CST/FSE
o OB ultrasounds – Performance of Interpretation (Level I/screening/viability)
--Labor and Delivery procedures:
o Routine delivery – Vaginal, low forceps, decision-making for C-section
o Complicated delivery – C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, etc.
o Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
--Gynecology procedures:
o Minor gynecology – IUD, Cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.

Assignment Details:
--EMR: Epic
--Call schedule is 1 in 3; Days in clinic per CNM: 3
--Percentage of practice: Low risk pregnancy - 50%, High risk pregnancy - 50%, C-Section - 20%, Office GYN - 35%
--Number of exam rooms: 13
--Total number of beds: 39 with 4 ICU beds
--Level 3 Trauma Center
--Level II nursery services (ability to transfer to higher level NICU)
--Callback percentages: Weekday – 80%, Weekend – 80%, Obstetrics – 80%, and Gynecology – 20%
--Average number of patients per CNM per day: 15-20 (clinic)
--Average number of deliveries per CNM per week: 6
--Staff includes 3 OB/GYNs, 3 CNMs, virtual MFM/Perinatologists
--Registered nurses support CNMs in clinic
--Lab and ultrasound performed by technicians
