Nurse Practitioner Agency job located in Connecticut

Location: Bridgeport, CT

Start Date: June 1, 2026 – December 4, 2026

Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week; flexibility for some nights and weekends required.

Job Description: A premier healthcare system in Bridgeport is looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide locum tenens coverage for their Neurosurgery department. This role is primarily focused on inpatient management and surgical assistance within an acute hospital setting.

Clinical Details:

• Focus: 75% Inpatient rounding (Post-op, ICU, and ER/floor consults); 25% OR.

• Procedures: OR First Assist for cranial and spine cases.

• Patient Population: All adults.

• Clinical Setting: Strictly inpatient/acute care; no clinic required.

• Team Structure: Work with 5 surgeons and 3 APPs; no neurosurgery residents on-site.

• EMR: Epic.

Requirements:

• Certification: Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NSY ORFA).

• Life Support: Current ACLS and BLS certifications.

• Licensure: Active Connecticut state license, DEA, and Controlled Substance Permit required.

• Credentialing: Privilege processing is approximately 8–12 weeks.
