Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Locums Job | Community Behavioral Health System | Southwest Georgia (Virtual/Telehealth Options Available)

Jackson and Coker is seeking a PMHNP for an urgent and high-impact locum tenens opportunity with a well-established Community Service Board in Georgia. This role is ideal for an NP looking to step into a leadership position or simply provide clinical oversight in a mission-driven behavioral health organization serving an underserved community.

The Opportunity:
Join a behavioral health team dedicated to providing psychiatric care to adults and children in an outpatient and residential crisis setting. The outpatient clinic runs Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with a fully built schedule, e-prescribe capabilities, and electronic documentation already in place. The residential crisis unit serves patients experiencing acute psychiatric episodes and substance use crises in a short-term inpatient-style environment.

Patient Population:
Primary adult population with occasional pediatric patients (ages 6 and up). Diagnoses include mental illness, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities with co-occurring behavioral health conditions. The patient base is largely uninsured or underinsured.

Scheduling:
--Initial evaluations are booked at 45 to 60 minutes. Follow-up med checks run 15 to 25 minutes.

Candidate Requirements:
--Active and unrestricted NP licensure in Georgia
--Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification
--Comfort seeing adult and pediatric populations
--DEA certification a plus
--Telehealth experience welcomed
