Nurse Practitioner Hospital Based job located in Michigan

Seeking a locum Neuroendovascular Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Dates of coverage: 5/1- 8/30
• Coverage needed while they recruit for perm
• Inpatient, hospital-based setting with responsibilities for rounding, consults, and postoperative care
• No OR/First Assist or procedural work required
• Must have a basic understanding of acute neurosurgical and stroke emergencies, ICU care, neurosurgical elective procedures, and postoperative management
• Coverage includes 240 hours in a 6-week schedule with weekend shifts
• Hours are 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., in-house coverage required
• weekend coverage required every 4th week
• No on-call duties
• Expected to see an average of 10 patients per day
• EMR: eCare/Cerner
• Level 1 Trauma Center with Comprehensive Stroke designation
• Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will work autonomously
• Supervising physician available off-site, on-call 24/7
• No new graduates will be accepted
• Procedures required: simple suture for minor laceration repair
• Patient population: all ages
• Required: Board Certified, MI license, clean background, BLS, ENLS, NIHSS, DEA, 2-3 shifts per week
