Coastal New Jersey facility
seeking a Locum Trauma Surgery Advanced Practice Provider
• Start as soon as credentialed through October
• 12-hour shifts (7?AM–7?PM or 7?PM–7?AM)
• Coverage includes trauma alerts, inpatient care, OR, and rounding
• No formal call required, though call ratio may vary
• Trauma alerts and surgical consultations
• Admitting, rounding, and OR support for Trauma and Acute Care Surgery
• Facilitating discharges, ER admissions, and house codes/rapid response team
• Insertion of: Ventilation management, Chest Tube, Central Line, Arterial Line, PICC Line
• Minor laceration suturing
• Non-invasive ventilatory support (BiPAP/CPAP)
• Supervising physician present in-house 24/7
• APP will not work autonomously
• Required:
- NP or PA with RNFA (if NP), NJ license, BLS, ACLS, ATLS or ATCN
- Experience in Trauma and Acute Care Surgery
- Proficiency in Trauma Alerts, OR Support, Inpatient Rounding, and ER Admissions
- Experience with Ventilation Management, Chest Tube, Central Line, Arterial Line, PICC Line, Non-Invasive Vent Management (BiPAP/CPAP), and Minor Laceration Suturing
- Experience Responding to ED for Trauma Alerts and Surgical Consultations
- Self-Query NPDB within 30 days
