seeking a Locum ICU Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider
--12 hour shifts, from 0600-1800
--Inpatient care role within the Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit (STICU), encompassing trauma, general surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, and other surgical sub-specialty patient populations.
--The APP's primary responsibility is to support the multidisciplinary critical care team in delivering consistent, continuous, and high-quality patient care.
--This position necessitates collaborative engagement with a multidisciplinary team, including attending physicians, resident physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, physical therapists, case managers, family members, ancillary staff, and other specialists within the STICU.
--The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong aptitude for collaborative teamwork and a keen interest in the care of critically ill surgical patients.
--Participation in multidisciplinary rounds, documentation of daily progress and interim notes, performance of various procedures, patient progress monitoring, complex wound care management, facilitation of timely patient transfers and/or discharge planning, and patient/family education.
--The overarching objective is to facilitate efficient, safe, and comprehensive patient progress.
--This dynamic role offers a significant degree of autonomy in patient management.
--May be required to perform invasive procedures such as intubation, bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, central line placement, arterial line placement, laceration repair, and complex wound care.
--Practice EMR is Cerner
--Required: Prior experience in Critical Care, NC license and DEA
