Job Overview

• Summary: There are two neurosurgeons whom the APC will work with and support for clinic, call and surgical purposes. 
• Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient
• Availability: Looking for 1 full-time locum
• Patients per shift: 12
• Start: ASAP - ongoing   
• Shift: Clinical Mon - Fri 8a - 5p
• On Call Requirements: Call Frequency 1:3 weekdays/weekends - beeper 20-minute response time
• Procedures - craniotomy, craniectomy, spinal fusions, decompressive surgeries, and interventions for aneurysms, tumors, and nerve injuries
• Duties include: surgical first assist; bedside procedures; rounding independently in all hospital units including NICU, PICU, Peds, ICU (surgical and medical), and general med/surg floor; hospital and ER/UC consults; clinic duties including outpatient consultations, post-operative/post-hospital patient care, fracture care, patient phone calls, medication refills, and FMLA documentation.
