Job Description

Job Overview
  • Specialty: OBGYN
  • Location: Los Angeles, CA
  • Start Date: July 1, Will accept part-time or full-time locums (Prefer full-time) - Need equivalent of 3 FTE
  • Setting: Clinic + Call (Not hospitalist or Laborist), Clinic 4 days/week from 7:30a-5:30p, In-house L&D call up to 24 hours with post call day off, OR coverage as needed, Consults in ED (9 clinicians in rotation)
  • Patient Volume: 
    • Deliveries per Year: Approx. 2,900–3,300 
    • Deliveries per Month: ~240–280 
    • Average Deliveries per Day: ~8–9 
    • C-Section Rate (NTSV): ~27% 
    • High-Risk Pregnancy %: 10-20 
    • Patients per Day (Clinic): 20-30 
    • GYN Surgeries per Day: 3-4, one full OR day/month plus add one 
  • Job Details: Circumcisions Required, tubal ligations, VBAC is encouraged but not required, Level III Trauma, Level III NICU, 60 days to credential
  • Staff: L&D RNs, NICU on-call, Anesthesia on-call, full-time MFM on-call. Full-time supervision of residents - help run a 20-person OB-GYN residency program and additional FM residents. No midwives
  • EMR: Clinic Prime Clinical systems (Transitioning to Epic) and Hospital EMR is Cerner (transitioning to Epic)
  • Required: Must be Board-certified and have an active CA license. Must be comfortable supervising residents and teaching. Will not accept closed or settled malpractice cases
  • Delta Locum Tenens can assist with travel arrangements and credentialing, and will cover malpractice.
