Requirements
-- Board certified in OB/GYN
-- Active IA license
-- Fellowship trained in Obstetrics & Gynecology
-- Clean malpractice/background history
Responsibilities
-- Oversee L&D unit
-- Triage patients
-- Vaginal deliveries
-- Cesarean deliveries
-- Management of high- and low-risk obstetric evaluations
-- Emergency and urgent gynecological consultations/surgeries
Assignment Details
-- Number of physicians: 1 full-time General OB/GYN; 1 full-time, 1 part-time, and 3 PRN OB/GYN Hospitalists
-- APPs: 5 (2 ARNP, 2 PA, 1 midwife starting April)
-- Supervision of APPs required
-- Nursing support: 1:1 plus additional Birth Center support
-- Ancillary staff: Family medicine resident/faculty, EFM-certified nurses, pediatric hospitalists (24/7), NICU nurses, pharmacists, OB/L&D/post-partum RNs, MA/LPN, CLC, IBCLC
-- Medical imaging, lab, and pharmacy onsite
-- Average 500–600 births/year
-- Teaching environment with residency program and medical student rotations
-- Services offered: Prenatal/postnatal care, pelvic exams, contraception, infertility treatment, menopause care, pap smears, in-office procedures, endometriosis care, pelvic prolapse, sterilization, ultrasound imaging, urinary incontinence treatment
-- EMR: EPIC
