  • Seeking a full-time academic specialist in general obstetrics and gynecology to join our team.

  • The UofL Department of Ob-Gyn and Women’s Health is comprised of 17 full-time physician faculty with representation of board-certified subspecialties of MFM, Gyn-Onc, and FPMRS and members with focused practice in MIGS and Advanced Family Planning.
  • Our team also includes 3 CNM and 4 women’s health NP.
  • The department has a strong residency program of 24 residents that actively participate in section activities during their training.
  • Current fellowship programs include FPMRS, minimally invasive gyn surgery, and reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
  • The Generalist Division provides complex obstetrical care to a diverse population with support from our MFM colleagues.
  • We teach a steady stream of bright learners from Kentucky and beyond. We value teamwork, collegiality, great care for every patient and keeping a sense of humor through it all.
  • Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities for this physician educator include: direct patient care, teaching and mentoring medical students and residents, and collaborating with other faculty in clinical research, quality and safety, and academic projects.
  • 2-3 days per week in resident and private clinics
  • 1 day per week labor and delivery coverage
  • 1 day per week gynecologic surgery
  • 4 in-house night (14h) or weekend (12-hour) shifts per month, post-overnight shift off.
  • Interest/experience in one or more of the following areas is desirable: clinical research; robotics; minimally invasive surgery; family planning; chronic pelvic pain; sexual dysfunction; and lesbian, bisexual, and transgender health.
