Job Description
MidMichigan Obstetrics and Gynecology, P.C. is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible OB/GYN Physician to join our well-established and respected practice located in Midland, Michigan. This full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting routine and specialized gynecological examinations to assess the health of female patients.
- Diagnosing and managing disorders related to the female reproductive system, including hormonal disorders, pelvic pain, and infertility.
- Providing full-scope obstetrical care, including prenatal assessments, labor and delivery (both vaginal and cesarean), and postnatal management.
- Performing diagnostic tests, such as ultrasounds and Pap smears, and interpreting results to guide patient care.
- Administering treatments, therapies, and medications based on individual patient needs.
- Offering preventative care and health education related to diet, hygiene, family planning, sexual health, and disease prevention.
- Counseling patients on reproductive health, menopause, and healthy aging.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and coordinating follow-up care.
- Collaborating with nurses, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals within the practice.
- Referring patients to appropriate specialists when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree (or foreign equivalent).
- Completion of an accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program.
- Current and unrestricted medical license in the state of Michigan (or eligibility to obtain).
- Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG or equivalent).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care.
On-Call Schedule:
The on-call schedule is currently shared with the OB/GYN team at MyMichigan Medical Center - Midland. Physicians participate in a rotation consisting of:
- 3 Primary On-Call shifts per month (responsible for all deliveries and hospital coverage)
- 3 Secondary On-Call shifts per month (backup support if needed)
