Position Summary

CHI Health Immanuel is seeking one board-certified OBGYN physician for locum tenens 24-hour call coverage across three facilities: Immanuel Hospital (Omaha), CUMC Bergan (Omaha), and Mercy Hospital (Council Bluffs, IA). This role supports a team of 5 physicians, 4.5 CNMs, and 4 APPs, providing relief during scheduled call rotations.

Coverage includes:

• Labor & Delivery (L&D)
• Postpartum (PP)
• GYN Emergency and OR cases
• Consults, deliveries, rounding (including with fellows)
• Minor and major gynecologic surgeries
• Unassigned OB/GYN call and practice coverage
• Backup for CNMs and Family Medicine OB providers

 Schedule & Call Details

• Shift Window: Friday 8:00 AM – Monday 8:00 AM (weekend call block)
• Call Type: 24-hour call (includes 4 hours gratis)
• Average Deliveries: 1–2 per 24-hour shift; 3–5 per weekend
• Call Back Hours: Average of 6 per 24-hour period
• Hospital Prioritization: Majority of time spent at Immanuel, but not exclusive

Submission Requirements

• Board Certification in Obstetrics/Gynecology – Required
• Completed OB/GYN Residency – Required
• NE State License or IMLC with LOQ – Required
• Availability at time of name clear – Required
• Clean malpractice history – Highly Preferred
• BLS & DEA – Nice to Have
• Deal Breaker: Must have performed 20+ deliveries in the past year
