Shift Description

-- Phone consults: Approximately 5 per shift

Requirements
-- Board eligible or board certified
-- Active North Carolina license
-- ACLS
-- PALS
-- NRP
-- Clean history required
-- Fellowship – Preferred

Required Procedures / Skills
-- Must have current experience performing circumcisions
-- Low- and high-risk pregnancy management
-- FHR interpretation (NST, CST, FSE)
-- OB ultrasounds (performance and interpretation):
---- Level I screening (viability)
---- Level II targeted (anatomic)
-- Amniocentesis
-- Routine deliveries:
---- Vaginal
---- Decision making for C-Section
--Complicated Delivery
---- C-Section
---- Breech and multiple births
---- Abruptions
-- Repair of 3rd- and 4th-degree lacerations
-- Surgical gynecology:
---- Open procedures
---- Laparoscopic diagnostic and minor procedures (tubal ligation, LOA, chromotubation)
-- Laser certification

-- Practice setting: Inpatient
-- Patients per shift: 3–8
-- Beds in department: 12
-- Admissions required
-- PEDs level: 2
-- Support staff: 2 RNs, 1 MA
