OB/GYN Hospitalist Locums Job in North Carolina

Our client is seeking Board Certified OB/GYN physicians to provide ongoing OB Hospitalist locums coverage at a regional academic medical center serving eastern North Carolina.

Details of Assignment #115530:
--Active North Carolina License
--Board Certification required 
--Eleven 24 hour shifts needed per month 
--Flexible scheduling 
--Starting ASAP and ongoing
--Collaborative department with 24 OB/GYNs, 9 APPS, and CNM support 
--3,639 deliveries per year 
--Level IV NICU support through Maynard Children's Hospital 
--Will help cover emergent GYN cases 
--Locum physicians will also serve as backup support for Emergency Department consultations related to OB/GYN patients

Patient Volume: 
--Average inpatient census: 50
--Average daytime admissions: 10 per day
--Average nighttime admissions: 5 per night
--Approximately 10% of visits result in admission
--Average surgical volume: 10 cases per month per surgeon

Required Procedures: 
--Cesarean delivery
--Obstetric and gynecologic D&C procedures
--Diagnostic laparoscopy
--Operative laparoscopy
--Urgent and emergent gynecologic surgical procedures
