OB Hospitalist Physician Locums Job in Ohio | 24-Hour Shifts | Specific Dates in July and August | Assignment #115611

Coverage Details
-- July 26 – July 27 (8am-8am)
-- July 31 – August 1 (8am-8am) 
-- August 2 – August 3 (8am-8am)
-- August 7 – August 7  (8am-5pm)
-- August 9 – August 10  (8am-8am)

Shift Details
-- 24 hour shifts, (8am-8am)
-- Weekend coverage required
-- In-house call required

Requirements
-- Board Certified
-- Active OH license
-- BLS/ACLS
-- Self-query NPDB

Required Procedures / Skills
-- Low and high risk pregnancy management
-- FHR interpretation including NST, CST, FSE
-- OB ultrasound performance and interpretation including Level I and Level II
-- Routine vaginal delivery and low forceps delivery
-- Decision-making for C-section
-- Complicated deliveries including C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions
-- VBACs
-- Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
-- Operative gynecology including ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy
-- Laparoscopic diagnostic and minor procedures including tubal ligation
-- Office gynecology procedures including IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP

Assignment Details
-- Practice setting: Hospital with L&D coverage
-- Reason for coverage: Down 2 FTEs with pending maternity leave; outpatient OBs reducing laborist shifts
-- Total beds: 10
-- Teaching facility with OB residents present and first assist
-- Collaboration with midwives on L&D
-- Onsite lab and ultrasound available
-- Support staff includes residents and nursing staff
-- Patient mix: 20% low risk pregnancy, 80% high risk pregnancy, 10% GYN
-- C-section rate: 25%
-- Nursery level III
-- EMR: EPIC
-- Trauma level: Level 1 facility; L&D level 4
