Coverage Details

-- Temporary privileges available (estimated credentialing: 7 days)

Shift Description
-- Beeper Call (Response Time Required: 30 minutes)

Call Details
Average Call # per 24 Hour:
-- Phone consults: 2
-- Patients seen: 2
-- Admissions: 2

Requirements
-- Board certified or board eligible in OB/GYN
-- Active TN license required
-- Must be enrolled in TN Medicaid/Medicare
-- ACLS, BLS, PALS, and EFM Certifications
-- Laser Certification
-- Fellowship – Preferred

Required Procedures
-- Low and high-risk pregnancy management
-- FHR interpretation: NST/CST/FSE
-- OB ultrasounds: Level I (screening/viability) & Level II (anatomic)
-- Amniocentesis
-- Routine deliveries: Vaginal, low forceps, decision-making for C-section
-- Complicated deliveries: C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions
-- Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations

Surgical gynecology:
-- Open and laparoscopic (minor: tubal ligation, LOA’s, chromopertubation)
-- Operative/major (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA’s)

Assignment Details
-- Rounding on unassigned patients
-- No resident or teaching supervision required
-- Average number of deliveries per year: 100
-- Inpatient
-- 16 beds in department
-- PED Level I
-- Trauma Level IV
-- Support staff: 2 RNs
-- EMR: eCW & MedHost
