OB/GYN Physician Locums Job in Vermont | Clinic + Call | Beginning August 15, 2026 - Ongoing | Assignment #115779

Coverage Details
-- 8 AM – 8 PM or 8 PM – 8 AM

Requirements
-- Board Certified in OB/GYN
-- Active Vermont license or IMLC (or willing to obtain)
-- Completion of accredited OB/GYN residency (U.S. or Canada)
-- BLS (AHA)
-- NRP
-- Preference for local providers

Required Procedures / Skills
-- Low risk pregnancy management (history of twins, toxemia, pyelonephritis)
-- FHR interpretation – NST, CST, FSE
-- OB ultrasounds – performance and interpretation
-- OB ultrasounds – Level I/screening (viability)
-- Routine deliveries including vaginal, forceps, and C-section decision-making
-- Complicated deliveries including C-section, breech, multiples, abruptions
-- VBACs
-- Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
-- Office and minor gynecology procedures (IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP)
-- Surgical gynecology – open procedures
-- Laparoscopic diagnostic and minor procedures (tubal ligation, LOA’s, chromal tubation)
-- Operative and major procedures (ectopic pregnancy, oophorectomy, cystectomy, extensive LOA’s)

Assignment Details
-- Practice setting: Clinic and call
-- Reason for coverage: Staffing shortage
-- Patient volume: 14–16 scheduled clinic patients per day
-- Total beds: 7
-- Physicians in practice: 1 full-time MD, 1 GYN MD (no call), 1 PRN MD
-- APP coverage: 4 CNMs (often take primary call)
-- Exam rooms: 10
-- Onsite lab and ultrasound available
-- Equipment includes ultrasound, colposcope, LEEP, D&C, standard GYN tools
-- Could be splitting call shifts with other OBGYN providers but would not be on call at the same time
-- Support staff includes 1 medical assistant per clinician and 1 triage nurse
-- Birth center RN staffing varies based on census
-- Low risk OB: 50% | High risk OB: 50%
-- GYN cases: 60%
-- Average GYN surgeries: 3–5 per week
-- C-section rate: 25%
-- Average nursery admissions: 1 per day
-- Nursery level: I
-- Non-trauma center
-- Full-spectrum women’s health services including prenatal, consults, and surgical care
-- Long-tenured staff with supportive leadership
-- Advanced laparoscopic ORs for minimally invasive procedures
-- Credentialing timeframe: 90 days
