OB/GYN Physician Locums Job in Virginia | Call Only | Beginning October 31 – Ongoing | Assignment #111288

Coverage Details
-- October 31 – November 3, 7 AM – 7 AM
-- December 23 – December 29, 7 AM – 7 AM
-- Ongoing assignment beginning December 2025
-- Temporary Privileges available (5 days) — must have clean malpractice history

Shift Description
-- 24 hour Beeper Call Only
-- Call Response Time Required: 30 min
-- Phone Consults: 2
-- Call Ratio: 1/3

Call Details
-- Admissions required
-- Patients per shift: 4
-- Bed count in department: 10
-- Deliveries per year: 450
-- Support staff includes 6 RNs and 1 PA/NP
-- No resident or teaching supervision required
-- Not required to supervise advanced practice providers
-- EMR: Athena & Meditech

Requirements
-- Board Eligible or Board Certified
-- Licensed in Virginia or IMLC
-- BLS
-- Fellowship - Preferred
-- Drive In Candidates - Preferred
-- Hospital privileging requires 100 deliveries and 50 gyn cases within the past 24 months.

Required Skills
-- Low-risk pregnancy management
-- FHR interpretation: NST/CST/FSE
-- Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
-- Amniocentesis

OB ultrasounds:
-- Level I/Screening (viability)
-- Level II/Targeted (anatomic)

Routine delivery:
-- Vaginal
-- Low forceps
-- Decision-making for C-section

Complicated delivery:
-- C-section
-- Breech
-- Multiple births
-- Abruptions
-- VBACs

Surgical gynecology:
-- Open
-- Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only (tubal ligation, LOAs, chronal tubation)
-- Operative/major (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOAs)
