Job Description
Facility is seeking Locum BC/BE OB/GYN to provide ofice and Hospital/call coverage
- Dates of Coverage: May 1, 2026 thru August 31, 2026
- Schedule: office hours 8-4 for patient schedule / call hours 24 each day weekday included office schedule as well
- Call Schedule: yes thru perfect serve
- Call Ratio: 1 in 4
- Average Number of Scheduled Patients Per Day: 25-30
- Number of Physicians in Practice: 4 physicians (1 will be on leave) and 5 midwives
- 5 APPs on coverage
- Onsite lab and ultrasound
- Office Equipment: usual ob gyn equipment fetal dopplers, colpo, plastic and metal specs, manual BP cuffs
- Describe Support Staff: we have one on one clinical staff support per provider (CMA, LPN and RN)
- Percentage of Practice Low Risk Pregnancy: 90%
- Percentage of Practice High Risk Pregnancy: 10%
- Percentage of Practice GYN: 20%
- Average Number of GYN Surgeries Per Day: provider preference - 1-4 depending on case time required
- Percentage of Patients for C-Section: 10%
- NICU level III
- EMR: EPC
- Trauma Level/Designation: Level 2
- Required Obstetrics Procedures: Low Risk Pregnancy (i.e. history of twins, toxemia, pyelonephritis, etc.), FHR interpretation – NST/CST/FSE, OB ultrasounds – performance of interpretation, OB ultrasounds – performance of Level I/screening (viability), seasoned techs completing scans for provider reads
- Labor and Delivery Required Procedures: Routine delivery – vaginal, low forceps, decision-making for C-section, complicated delivery – C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, etc., VBACs, repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
- Gynecology Required Procedures: Office/minor gynecology – IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc., surgical gynecology – open, laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only – tubal ligation, LOAs, chromal tubation, operative/major (includes diagnostic) – ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOAs
- Required: VA license, BLS/ACLS, Self-Query NPDB report
