Hematology Oncology Locums Job in Iowa | Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call | Specific Dates Throughout 2026 | Assignment #113597

Coverage Details
-- May 25 - 29
-- June 15 - July 3
-- July 20 - August 7
-- August 24 - October 2
-- October 19 - 30
-- November 16 - 27 (Excludes Thanksgiving)
-- December 14 - 31 (Excludes Christmas)
-- Dual facility assignment with 4 days per week of coverage (95% outpatient, 5% inpatient)
-- 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off

Shift Description
-- Clinic hours: 8am–4pm
-- Call schedule: TBD
-- Weekend requirement: As needed
-- On-call: Yes; schedule TBD

Requirements
-- Board Certified or truly board eligible in Oncology
-- Active IA license or active IMLC
-- Fellowship trained in hematology & oncology
-- Must have Hematology experience and willing to see Hematology patients
-- Provider must be willing to work at both locations
-- Clean malpractice/background

-- Ongoing treatment plans
-- Changes in therapy
-- Referral for ancillary services
-- End-of-life care
-- Chemotherapy management
-- Pain management

Assignment Details
-- Patient contact hours: 6
-- Patient population: Medicare / Medicaid / Commercial
-- Clinic days: 8
-- Outreach: ~6 days/month
-- Telehealth: Yes
-- Medical hematology/oncology coverage 4–5 days/week
-- Number of physicians: 1
-- Nursing support: 1:1
-- Medical imaging + lab & pharmacy available
-- Clinic provider daily volume: 10–30
-- Average daily hospital census: 10–15
-- Appointment length: 40 min consults; 20 min follow-ups
-- EMR: EPIC
