Hematology/Oncology Locums Job in Virginia | Scheduled Clinical Hours Plus Call | 8/3/26 – 7/31/27 | Assignment #114964

Coverage Details
-- Monday – Thursday, 8am – 5pm
-- 8–10 hours per day pending patient volumes
-- Oncology center has 3 additional established permanent providers and is currently searching for a full-time Medical Oncologist

Call Details
-- Beeper call for established patients and is very light
-- 2–5 calls per week
-- Consultative only, performed over the phone
-- Providers are not required to be called back to the hospital
-- Response time required: 1 hour

Requirements
-- Board Certification
-- Fellowship required
-- Licensed in Virginia only
-- ABLS
-- ACLS
-- BLS
-- Local drive in candidate preferred

Required Procedures / Skills
-- Management of VAD catheters
-- BMB

Assignment Details
-- Outpatient practice setting
-- Med Onc 30% / Hem Onc 70%
-- Beds in department: 13
-- Average patient volume: 12–15 patients per day
-- Time split between new consults and follow ups: cancer 60min / hem 30min / FU 30 min
-- Support staff: 6 RNs, 1 PA/NP, 6 office staff
-- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60 days (temporary privileging available)
-- EMR: Aria
