Ophthalmology Locums Job in Michigan ASAP and Ongoing | Retinal Required

One of our clients in Michigan is seeking immediate Ophthalmology locums coverage ongoing through at least the end of March 2026. The locums physician will be working in the clinic only, with no surgeries or call coverage required. The physicians will be required to perform Retina injections and management. Candidates with Fellowships or Retina experience are going to be highly preferred. With the need starting immediately, candidates with an active Michigan license and DEA will be able to start very soon, however, IMLC candidates are welcome to apply. They are flexible with scheduling and will accept candidates with anywhere from 1 - 4 weeks available per month. 

Details/Requirements: 
--Start: ASAP and ongoing through at least end of March 2026
--Reason for coverage: Current physician out on family medical leave
--Coverage needed: outpatient only, 4 weeks per month - will piece together with multiple physicians as needed
--Shifts: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
--Patient volume: 55-60 patients per day
--Patient age ranges from 5yo+, but candidates not comfortable seeing pediatric patients are welcome to apply and will be given adult only patients
--Procedures: No surgery. Retinal injections and retina disease management required. Manage patients with diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, etc. 
--65% of patients will be retinal injections
--Opportunity for Surgery and call component if physician has interest
--Active MI License and DEA asap, IMLC candidates able to apply
--Board Certified in Ophthalmology
--Retinal Fellowship or vast experience in Retinal required
--EMR: Nexttech 
--Full support staff of Ophthalmologists, Ophthalmology Surgeons, OD's and Retinal techs
