The Department of Surgery at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso (TTUHSCEP) is seeking a Glaucoma specialist with a strong interest in an academic career. The candidate should enjoy teaching residents and medical students as well as pursing research and other scholarly activities. Enjoy a large, healthy referral network with great pathology. Operate at state-of-the-art ASCs with 2 rooms available to minimize turnover time and optimize surgeon schedule. Minimal call requirement with a 1 in 6 rotation at the primary teaching hospital. The position is a full-time appointment at TTUHSCEP and the salary is competitive.

TTUHSCEP is one of five independent universities in the Texas Tech University System. The Health Sciences Center consists of the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine, the Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing, the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and an emerging Woody L. Hunt School of Dental Medicine.
The successful candidate will be employed by TTUHSCEP at an academic rank commensurate with qualifications. The position requires a M.D. /D.O. degree and successful completion of an ACGME approved residency in Ophthalmology. Board certification/eligibility in ophthalmology with additional training in a glaucoma fellowship is required.
